The University of Delaware Botanical Gardens (UDBG) annual Fall Plant Sale is happening Friday and Saturday this weekend!
At UDBG plant sales, we offer customers plants that work well here in Delaware and the surrounding area. We grow, test, and evaluate plants in the UDBG collection and our academic programs vett the plants.
UDBG Friends and Plant Sale Patrons are permitted early entry to the Fall Plant Sale on Thursday, September 8 from 3-6 p.m.
Patrons of the Fall Plant Sale provide support to our Student Intern Program, helping students to gain hands-on experience, learn skills, build resumes, while also earning monies.
The annual Fall Plant Sale full catalog can be found here.
UD Botanic Gardens contributes to an understanding of the changing relationships between plants and people through education, extension, research, and community support. Education is a critical part of the mission of UD Botanic Gardens. UD Botanic Gardens is a research center, a laboratory, and a classroom in which studies in plant biology, botany, plant pathology, landscape design, ornamental horticulture, and entomology are pursued through experiential learning. It also maintains a diverse and dynamic living plant collection that stimulates and engages, with more than 3,000 species and cultivars of perennials, shrubs, and trees. We work hard to promote an understanding and appreciation of plants in the landscape and natural environment. In the coming years, UD Botanic Gardens will expand its plant-based research in the CANR and related disciplines and further grow its educational and informational programs to students, the green industry, and the public.
