Every Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk is a powerful and inspiring opportunity to unite as a community to honor breast cancer survivors, raise awareness about steps we can take to reduce our risk of getting breast cancer, and raise money to help the American Cancer Society fight the disease with breast cancer research, information and services, and access to mammograms for women who need them. Since Making Strides began 20 years ago, breast cancer death rates have declined more than 32 percent. From 1993–97 to 2003–07, Delaware’s decline in female breast cancer incidence was 42.7% greater than the decline at the National level.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

It’s that time of the year where the Pink Breast Cancer Awareness Ribbon and the color PINK begin infiltrating our everyday both online and offline – in restaurants, grocery stores, clothing stores, even hardware stores and football – some promising to donate a portion of the proceeds, others building awareness and early detection and many offering hope and support to those touched by Breast Cancer. NorthDelaWHEREHappening.com is promising a full mix of all of the above this October 2012! So stay tuned with US…
