I was so excited when I saw this and think it’s just about the coolest idea ever. Parents there’s no need to feel guilty for having a date night this Valentine’s Day Weekend & the cost is on par with a babysitter! From 6-9pm on Friday Night, February 14th, the DCM will be opeing its doors to a fun night of activities for children ages 4 and over. Register today.
Who said that kids couldn’t have fun on date nights? Sign them up for DCM’s Play Date — a night that both kids and parents will LOVE. Parents will love three hours to themselves & the kids will love having three hours of Museum time.
Of course, this isn’t your average Play Date — it’s even better. In addition to exploring and playing in the interactive exhibits, there’s addtional treats in store, such as an appearance by Stuffee — a 7-foot tall, huggable anatomy doll — who will teach everyone about the circulatory system & a special re-appearance of the DCM Speedway. And as the night gets darker, a proper DCM Play Date would not complete without a dance party!
While you’re splurging on a movie & popcorn or dinner at one of the many wonderful Riverfront restaurants, they’ll be splurging on dessert. It’s only fair . . . and we think the kids will agree! Fruit, cookies, brownies, and other snacks will be available, but the Hot Chocolate Bar will be the big hit! They’ll serve the cups and the kids can help themselves to the toppings — mini marshmallows, whipped cream, chocolate chips, chocolate syrup, and more. I have a feeling some parents may cut their date short to have a cup themselves.
