In less than 45 days, you managed to send us tens of thousands of votes – response beyond our wildest expectations! Your participation made the 1st Annual 2014 North Delaware Happening List the “Most Happening” people’s choice voting contest centric to New Castle County, North Delaware. Thousands of amazing LOCAL people, places, events, and businesses were nominated across 11 comprehensive categories ranging from “Food & Drink” to “Home Improvement” to “Everything North DelaWHERE.” Voting closed on February 28, 2014, and now the celebration begins.  With Happening List excitement and anticipation reaching a fever pitch, we are thrilled to announce and  invite you to the Most Happening Blue Carpet Bash in the northern small wonder. Get ready to be A-Mazed!

North DelaWHERE Happening is rolling out the big blue carpet on Thursday, June 12th from 7:00pm to 11:00pm at Ed Oliver’s Golf Club, nestled in the heart of Westover Hills, one of Wilmington’s oldest and swankiest nieghborhoods.  This club has graced the city borders for over 100 years. Situated on 90 acres, with a tree-lined drive wandering through an array of prestigous Wilmington neighborhoods and gardens, the Ed Oliver Golf Club views capture the charm of a bygone era including the signature 18th hole a 400-yard that features a chimney to the right of the fairway that dates back to the original owners of the land. Here, The Most Happening people of New Castle County, North Delaware, will gather and experience breathtaking views of the Wilmington skyline from both inside the 4,000 SF club house and outside on the stretch veranda – all to celebrate a plethora of LOCAL successes.

Break out your brightest BLUE and join us for one fabulous blue carpet cocktail party in honor of the Winners, Finalists and Nominees of the 2014 North DelaWHERE Happening List. After walking 24 feet of blue carpet, guests will be treated to some of New Castle County’s BEST.  All finalists and winners will be presented their awards with plenty of professional photo op’s to show off! This special night of recognizing NCC’s best will also include free hors’ d oeuvres, two cash bars, a signature Blue Carpetini cocktail, live and LOCAL icon DJ AMAZE of ICON DJs, The Winner of Best Wedding DJ category and a few more surprises that we know you’ll enjoy. We will formally warn you this is not a sit down event or formal dinner. We encourage everyone to socialize, mix & mingle, get your photos taken, let loose and dance the night away.
