Feeling Fiesty? Want to make a dog gone extra special contribution?

Donate to the Capital Campaign to help Build a New Shelter for the Delaware Humane Association. The current 40 year old 7,000 SF facility located on A Street in Wilmington will be replaced by a brand new state of the art 11,000 SF…the same location.

The Challenge ->>>> $750,000 Grant to Encourage Individual Giving  Campaign Chairs, Tatiana & Gerret Copeland have generously pledged $750,000 as a dollar-for-dollar challenge grant. Every $1 contributed by an individual or couple will be matched by the Copelands with another $1.  However, DHA must raise all $750,000 to receive the Copeland’s gift, a terrific incentive for friends and supporters who want to be a part of DHA’s success.

Founded in 1957, the Delaware Humane Association (DHA) is Delaware’s first no kill animal shelter and adoption center. DHA is committed to providing for the needs of homeless dogs & cats in our community. Serving over 5,000 companion animals annually through direct intervention and many more through advocacy, DHA continues to promote the humane values of protection, care, and compassion for all living things. DHA envisions a future where all people and their pets live healthy, happy and long lives together.

Each year, hundreds of animals come to DHA in search of a warm bed, good meal, and most importantly, a new home. Our dedicated staff and volunteers work hard to ensure that each animal receives the best care possible during his/her stay at our adoption shelter. We’re committed to preparing all adoptable dogs and cats for a new home by keeping them well-groomed, giving them daily exercise and affection, and providing obedience training and any necessary medical care.

DHA serves the community by offering low-cost vaccination clinics, educational workshops, and affordable spay/neuter services. We receive no government funding, and rely on the support of the community in the form of volunteers, private donations, bequests, fundraising events, and our popular Guardian Angel Program. [/box]
