This might be the MOST exciting post we write all year! Our inboxes are exploding, the smart phones have gone dumb, and ipads are requesting a help app or good ol’ fashion pen and paper. And quite frankly, it’s all worth it. We couldn’t be more thrilled to share all the exciting events ahead  for those of you venturing out to celebrate this grand evening with us at The 1st Annual NorthDelaWHERE Happening List Blue Carpet Bash. We are in awe of YOU!

Arrival 

Watch as you venture  off North Dupont Road and on to the Ed Oliver’s super circle – once you step foot on to the sidewalk, you just might be exposed by the papparazzi.

The Blue Carpet

As you walk the grand entrance of the Club including 24 feet of Electric Blue Carpet, you’ll be flourished by the beauty of Borsello Landscaping’s honorary blue carpet entourage. Borsello was your Winner of The Most Happening Landscaping category. Go ahead do a little happening strut, we won’t tell.

Guest Check In

Just inside, you’ll greet our MOST Happening Team at guest check in – there you’ll dot your “i’s” and cross your “t’s”. Grab your bash swag and swift off to get your Award photos by ICON DJs. Here you’ll pose on yet another Blue Carpet in front of the NDH Step & Repeat. Mix & mingle in the Wilmington Room for a bit, grab one of our signature cocktails, the infamous “BLUE Carpetini”  or a refreshing “McKenzies Cider” to quickly quench your thirst.

Dress Code: Blue

PAUSE HERE >> If you haven’t heard, we’ve GONE BLUE! Yes, we know you might not have any blue, so be creative for goodness sakes! Think outside the box. Accessorize as you wish – even blue hair is acceptable here.  Hey Ladies – Moxie’s Boutique in Newark and Morgan’s of Delaware in Wilmington will offer some mini wardrobe-overs~ whether you want to accessorize or re-dress, these ladies will have what you need, ready and waiting for you on-site. Guys we can offer you blue beads since no mens-wear retailers stepped up to meet the blue challenge.

The Most Happening Awards

Do we have awards? H*ll yes! You earned it, right? We will have 8×10 custom awards for all Winners and Finalists for presentation on site the night of the event. You can pick them up at the door when you arrive, pose for a photo with your award on the Blue Carpet and then pass them back to our team to hold for you while you mix and mingle. Don’t forget to pick them up again at the end of the evening. Hey FANS, we even will have a special award for you to take photos with on the Blue Carpet! Got YOU all covered.

Scrumptious Delights

We have an amazing array of stationary and passed Hors d’Oeuvres to satisfy every tempting palate – thanks to the amazing banquet team at Ed Oliver’s.  A Philly style slider bar featuring chicken, beef steak and BBQ pulled pork with all the toppings you can imagine plus pork, chicken, seafood and some offerings for the vegetarians.  We’ve got the full Monty to meet hopefully every dietary need!   Cure that sweet tooth — Sherm’s Catering, Winner of Most Happening Caterer, is whipping up some amazing sweet delicacies with a special “happening” touch.  Think oreos, canolis and cheesecakes…Oh my,  make sure you don’t miss this table.

Mixing in UP!

AMAZing! Bringing The Most Happening party mix with a spectcular light show to glam up the dance floor. DJ Amaze and DJ Dommis and The MOST HAPPENING DJ team around – ICON DJs, will be spinning the tunes, lighting us up BLUE.

Amaze is DJ/Artist & Host. His events are as diverse as his playlist: From Anniversaries, Clubs, Elementary Schools and everything in between! He is a Spring Break Legend having done tours in Cancun, Nassau, and Punta Cana Dominican Republic. His remixes and hype party tracks have been featured on both Crooklyn Clan & Av8 Records as well as commercial Radio. Currently, while continuing his carrer as a Dj/Artist, Amaze also works through Community & Music Programs to offer Dj Classes, and Music Technology Workshops, and Special Programs for Youths, Teens, and anyone interested in learning the art!

DJ Dommis, has a passion for music and creating memories for those for whom he plays.  A self-proclaimed music “junkie”, Dommis enjoys playing an eclectic mix of music.  You can hear him spinning anything from Hip-hop to Funk to Classic Rock to Dancehall.  He got his start in late 2010, when he purchased two Technic 1200s and started spinning vinyl records in his basement.  He soon began his career as a mobile DJ and has been spinning at various events ever since.  He has DJed various events such as birthday and graduation parties, weddings, BBQs, bars, live shows, and a lot of school and family-oriented events.  He has been told that his strength in DJing is his ability to play something that pleases everybody.

PLUS — we’re Mixing IT Up a little! There’ll be a few surprises roving about too.

Lights, Camera, Action! 

Here’s your 10 seconds of fame. We are filming! Well actually… YOU are – it’s a video selfie. Make sure you stop by the big  “h” and record your MOST HAPPENING version of  “What’s Happening”.  Hashtag your photo using #WhatsHappeningDE and #NDHBash, upload and share with us. All What’s Happening Videos will compiled and magically edited by CineMavericks, Winner of The Most Happening Videographer category.

The View

Our host with the MOST! After you’ve taken in all the glitz and glam inside, be sure to head out to the Ed Oliver’s veranda for a cocktail, breath in the fresh warm air and take in that spectacular view of the golf course and what you can still see of the city scape amongst the green! FORE! Please don’t disturb the golfers however, we are on the 1st tee and 18th hole. No worries here if it rains or pours, this festive deck has a 6 foot awning to keep you dry. Yes we have a rain or shine view!

Signature SIPS

We’ll have three cash bars to ensure you are amply hydrated. To appease us, you must try the BLUE-CARPETINI, our signature NorthDelaWHEREHappening.com drink! A smooth mix of Crater Lakes Vodka and lemonade swirled with a swift blue splash of Blue Curacao. OR choose one of our favorites and a best-seller McKenzie’s Hard Cider as a refreshing summer option. The cash bar is FULL and plenty of water and alternatives will be on hand to quench your every thirst.  Put it on our Tab…well the first one anyway!
