Rocky Horror Picture Show

With Halloween approaching, “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” has become a tradition for many across the country and around the world. On Saturday, October 29th the group Frankie’s Midnight Runners will be performing the show at Theatre N.

“The Rocky Horror Picture Show” has been shown on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month at Theatre N. The newest group of performers have been showing the cult classic since February 2016. The show on the 29th is a special for Halloween that will include a costume contest and games for first-time viewers.

The shadow cast known as ‘Frankie’s Midnight Runners’ is a newly formed group of performers consisting of veteran thespians who volunteer to keep the classic midnight show alive. With the movie playing on the big screen, these amateur members of the cast act-out the show simultaneously while audience members shout jokes, blow noisemakers, and throw props of toast & toilet paper at coordinated times.

Although the movie is not as shocking by today’s standards as it was when first released in 1975, it still contains mature themes and tongue-in-cheek jokes. Those wanting to see the show must be 18+ years old, or in the company of a legal guardian. Tickets are $9.00 and doors will open at 11:00pm, with a pre-show at 11:15pm, and the movie starting at 11:30pm.
