According to BallPark Digest’s Publisher Kevin Reichard, “High A voting was an interest mix, as fans needed to choose between standard facilities in the California and Carolina League and the Florida State League ballparks pulling double duty as spring-training facilities.”

How High A Ranks

High A is one of  the many levels a player takes on his way to the major leagues. The progression is:

  • Short Season/Rookie Ball (where players usually go when drafted from high school or college)
  • Low A
  • High A ( Frawley Stadium)
  • Double A
  • Triple A
  • Finally the Major Leagues!

Every major league team has one of these affiliates. Frawley Stadium was voted the best of the 30 High A stadiums.

This is just another reason to
