Local artist Nadjah Nicole, contestant on NBC’s The Voice, will come out punching in tonight’s “Battle Round”. She goes head to head with Cole Criske, one of her fellow Team Blake members, performing “Rude” by Magic!, a Canadian reggae fusion band. If Nadjah wins this “Battle Round” she will proceed to the “Knockout Rounds”. The Voice airs on Monday’s at 8pm and Tuesday’s at 9pm.
We had the chance to speak with Nadjah’s father tonight and he said, “the family is proud, nervous and excited” waiting for the show to air tonight. Well, we can guarantee that they aren’t the only people feeling excited tonight.

Enjoy a day (and night) of free, safe family fun!
Bring your tent and your gear and make yourself at home in our family campground.
Paint a pumpkin, bring old clothes and stuff a scarecrow, go on a Hayride, and visit the Kids Corral to see the new baby animals. Learn a new line dance, play games, watch a family movie, and dance to music. Bring your own goodies for tent-to-tent trick-or-treating. Be sure to decorate your tent and wear your best costume! Top it off with dinner and s’mores around the bonfire, and camp overnight in the park.
New this year: Join in a Dance Contest or brave the Haunted Barn. The littlest campers will enjoy the slightly spooky Boo Barn at the Kids Corral.
Families are welcome to come just for the day if you don’t want to camp out.
About Nadjah
Nadjah was introduced to music through her father, who was the musical director at her church. With her father being in the Air Force, she attended military school and sang the national anthem at every event. Her music career started to take off in high school, but Nadjah’s parents thought it was important to attend college. She attended for a brief time, but left when she became pregnant. She is now a personal banker and single mom and wants to use her talent to provide for her child.
Nadjah Nicole is a breath of fresh air on the music scene. She has a distinct vocal style that is rooted in gospel music.
Nadjah and her band cite R&B and pop artists such as Corinne Bailey Rae, Erykah Badu, Laura Izibor and many others as inspiration. Their focus is on making an impact on the music scene by performing a wide range of everyone’s favorites as well as original music.
Nadjah Nicole performs a standard serving of soul music with a pop and jazz twist. As a band, they continually explore their own given talents, and continue to make good music together.
