Used Book Sale at Hockessin Library
It’s the time of year when the Friends of the Hockessin Library hosts its annual Used Book Sale! As in the past, this year’s sale provided books to local non-profits such as the Wilmington VA Medical Center, area children’s charities, retirement and nursing homes, and Stockings for Soldiers. An on-site promotion resulted in the donation by shoppers of 2,000 books to Treasures 4 Teachers.
Serafin String Quartet Benefit Concert
The Unitarian Universalist Society of Mill Creek (UUSMC) is pleased to present the Kaleidoscope Concert Series. This first concert of 2016 features quartets by Shostakovich and Grieg as well as two short pieces, Veil of Leaves and Between the Accidental, by noted young composer Julia Adolphe.
