Champs Management ,which is comprised of several Delaware businessmen, is very excited about the opportunity to push Boxing to the Delaware Sports front by bringing High Level Professional Boxing Events to the area. I can recall former Boxing events on the Riverfront years ago that would draw fans in the thousands.
Support the first state! With only two weeks remaining until the first bell rings at ‘Champs at the Chase,’ the most exciting professional boxing event in northern Delaware’s history, now is the time to get your tickets!
WE have the INSIDE TIP:
Keep in mind this is the preliminary fight card nothing is set in stone until fight day. Boxers have to be checked out by the doc and make weight, so changes are inevitable.
Delaware’s own Dennis Hasson will be headlining the event as he takes on the formidable Kevin Engel for the Light Heavyweight NABA Interim Title. Hasson has rocketed through the rankings in the past year, but must face one final test before he can proudly call himself a champion. ‘The New’ Ray Robinson will be a co-feature, battling for the Welterweight Interim Title. Robinson is the newest addition to the Champs Management roster, and is best known for his May 2012 knockout of former Olympic gold medalist Terrance Cauthen.
In a female super featherweight bout, Melissa St Vil out of Brooklyn, NY will be fighting Natasha Spence from Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. Local boxer, Ryan Belasco fighting out Wilmington, Delaware, will have a rematch with Ronnie Green, out of Wheeling, West Virginia. Rounding out the fight card will be local boxer, Joey Tiberi, out of Newark, Delaware, and making his professional boxing debut, Luis Hernandez out of Wilmington, Delaware.
