25 days of giving25  local non-profit organizations will receive donations from the Delaware KIDS Fund in 25 days- starting Monday, November 25th and lasting through Friday, December 27th.  The Delaware KIDS Fund will be pay a surprise visit to the selected charities with a $100.00 check  to support their cause.  The 25 local non-profits were chosen by the Fund because of their focus on youth initiatives.

If you want to follow the giving trail, The Delaware KIDS Fund will announce each non-profit, daily through its own Facebook page beginning on November 25th (www.facebook.com/DEKIDSFund).

Limestone-Food-Closet“HUNGER STOPS”

To help kick start the KIDS Fund 25 Days of Giving, the fund also made three separate donations to three area food banks in an effort to help fight the on-going hunger problem prior to the Thanksgiving holiday. The Delaware KIDS Fund recently made three “Hunger Stops” donating $1,000 each to Bridge of Hope Food Basket at Calvary Baptist Church in Wilmington, Limestone Food Closet at Limestone Presbyterian Church in Pike Creek and the Cape Henlopen Food Basket in Rehoboth Beach.

The Delaware KIDS Fund (Kids In Distressed Situations) is a 501c(3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing goods and services to children at risk and in distressed situations. The Delaware KIDS Fund provides essential services to local young people, including but not limited to the following:

  • Financial support for essential needs, such as clothing, shelter and food
  • Financial support towards counseling and mentoring for abused, grief stricken or disease-afflicted children
