The Sevens are back after a trip to the NBA DL Showcase in California! Head to “The Bob” for this great match up and enjoy Dollar Pretzel Night along with performances by the Sixers Dancers! It’s also Post-Game Free Throw Friday and all fans ages 12 and under get to shoot a free throw on the court following the game! There’s a ton of fun to be had in 2016 with the Sevens so we look forward to seeing you there on Friday!
Music School of Delaware MLK & Black History Tribute
The Music School’s faculty and guest artists will celebrate Dr. King’s birthday and honor the lives and contributions of other famous African Americans. This year’s program features William Grant Still’s Panamanian Dances, Arthur Benjamin’s Jamaican Rumba, and the hit song, Run, Joe, originally made famous by Louis Jordan and Maya Angelou. This year, the Music School’s artists recreate the Benny Goodman Sextet of the late 1930s, in a 100th birthday celebration of legendary jazz guitarist, Charlie Christian.

Invention Convention 2016 at Hagley Museum
The Martin Luther King, Jr. weekend event will explore the fascinating world of robotics with robotic demonstrations, hands-on engineering challenges, and in-person conversations with professionals who use robots in their daily work. Visitors will discover how the Wilmington Police Department uses bomb robots to dispose of explosive devices. They will also be able to create a series of simple Hagley “robots” using hydraulic pumps, gears, and circuits.
Clean Living Class
Join Amy Marshall, a family Health Coach from Creating Healthy Roots, to learn how to become a clean living detective and understand what the ingredients are in everyday products. She will help you implement simple ways to detoxify your home, mind, and body. Amy provides education and trusted solutions that actually work! In addition, you will be introduced to DIY cleaning products and be given samples to try in your home.
