BLUE ROCK WEEKEND FUN
Blue Rocks vs. Myrtle Beach Pelicans
It’s an action packed weekend at Frawley Stadium. The fun is kicked off with the Cowboy Monkey Rodeo and Post Game Fireworks on Friday.
Bring the whole family out to Health and Fitness night at Frawley Stadium on Saturday. The first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive a Blue Rocks gym bag, presented by Bank of America.
May Market
The Arasapha Garden Club sponsors the May Market every year and visitors come to this free open-air event to purchase fresh plants and herbs, baked goods, white elephants and books, crafts, and raffle tickets for an original handmade quilt. At Miss Kitty’s My Garden to Your Garden table, you can purchase plants and garden implements from the gardens of local residents at bargain prices. Garden experts are on hand to answer your gardening questions and offer free demonstrations. All proceeds benefit Arasapha’s historic gardens. The May Market runs both Friday and Saturday.
Wilmington Flower Market
When you visit the annual Flower Market, you will feel the excitement. You’ll hear the ring of laughter in the air as children share their delight in all the carnival rides and games. You’ll find a large selection of plants and flowers for your garden, as well as a multitude of crafts and merchant wares for sale. As you stroll through the park and listen to live music, you’ll find a variety of delicious food and meet local celebrities. It’s three days (Thurs.-Sat.) of fun, so be sure you experience it.
Wilmo Art Show
Enjoy a group art show at Poppycock Tattoo featuring car, pin-up, and rockabilly artwork to celebrate the upcoming Wilmo a Go-Go Car Show on May 29th.
Party on the Patio
Join Supporting Kidds for its tenth annual Party on the Patio to benefit grieving local children. The annual spring gala will be held at the exclusive Vicmead Hunt Club and will be an evening of cocktails, fabulous food, plus silent and live auctions.
The Peek-A-Boo Review Presents Film Strips
Vintage flicks, cult classics, comedies, horrors, and more will be birthed in a world where cabaret and SINema collide! There won’t be a silver screen here; “The Boo” is bringing shiny silver sequin to the stage instead! Skip the Skittles and forget the Twizzlers because the dancing gals are providing the eye candy!

Free Comic Book Day at Captain Blue Hen Comics and The Comic Book Shop
Come out and meet real comics artists! See you favorite Superheroes! There will be many real comic book artists on site all day sketching for the kids as well as promoting their comics and signing autographs! The best thing is that EVERYONE GETS A FREE COMIC BOOK! Come in costume. Have a ball!

White Clay Creek Fest
The goal of Creek Fest is to raise awareness of the drinking water, scenic, recreational, historical, and natural resource values of the White Clay Creek through various activities and exhibits. Who Stole the Mona Lisa?
The charming mystery “Who Stole the Mona Lisa?” follows Igor Stravinsky’s Firebird on a whimsical grand adventure through a beautiful animated film with live piano accompaniment. Ferdinand the Bull and Babar the Elephant will also be featured during this delightful program of storytelling, music, and art. Fun for the whole family!
Spring Fest at Argilla Brewing Company
The fifth annual Spring Fest features some delicious new Argilla brews, food specials, outdoor games (e.g. bocce ball), stuff for kids (moon bounce, face painting, etc.), raffles, 50/50, prizes, and lots of live music! Celebrate seasonal suds and grub at Argilla!
Wilmington Garden Day
The 69th annual Wilmington Garden Day is a springtime tradition in the Brandywine Valley. This year the tour will be featuring 16 gardens. Of those, 7 will include the home’s interior and/or greenhouses. Guides will provide you with general overviews of the features that are exciting. Proceeds will be distributed to agencies offering programs that benefit underserved children in Delaware.
Delaware Vet Fest
Delaware Vet Fest will have food, beverages, and live musical entertainment. Wilmington’s own Fat Rick’s will be there serving up some of Delaware’s finest BBQ, including authentic North Carolina pulled pork and Texas style beef brisket. Join the cause and help stop soldier suicide!
Derby Day Whiskey Fest
Peco’s Liquor Store is bringing the Kentucky Derby to North Wilmington by transforming its parking lot into an elegant whiskey festival. A giant event tent will house whiskey, wine, beer, cigars, and great BBQ! Plus, there will be a live broadcast of the Kentucky Derby! Multiple whiskey vendors will be on hand pouring samples of some of the worlds most exclusive spirits. Cheers!

Native Plant Sale
Shop for native plants at the Delaware Nature Society’s annual sale held at Coverdale Farm. The sale features more than 300 rare, unusual and favorite varieties of native wildflowers, trees, shrubs, ferns, and aquatic plants for all growing conditions, including drought-tolerant. Some are introductions from the nearby Mt. Cuba Center and many species attract wildlife such as birds and butterflies. This is a two-day event which runs Saturday and Sunday, May 7 and 8.
Cinco de Mayo Celebration at Santa Fe
For 5 years Santa Fe has been filling Wilmington with beautiful tunes and a cool place to celebrate!
