SAFE…FLEXIBLE… AFFORDABLE… FUN
New Castle County offers over 130 weeks of summer camp to choose from making it possible to craft the perfect summer for your child. You’ll build a summer filled with new friends, active play, fun themes, creativity, and, most importantly, fun!
All Full and Half-Day Camps feature fun weekly themes and activities. Full-Day Camps also include weekly swimming, participation in the Summer Reading Club, and fun weekly field trips. Field trips include visits to the zoo, museums, indoor fun parks, and more.
FASHION… DRAMA… ART…ADVENTURE
Our Specialty Camps focus in on fine and performing arts, science, fashion, and more. This year we are offering Frosted Camp, Camp Drama, Science Explorers Camp, Adventure Camp, Kandy Kidz Camp, Fashion Camp, Express Yourself Camp, and Build-Your-Own Art Camps. Each camp enables your child to explore a passion while meeting like-minded friends.
SAFETY…SPORTS
Our popular Safety Town, for kids ages four through six, teaches your child personal safety through songs, play, and by navigation about our miniature town. Safety Town meets throughout the summer at locations across New Castle County.
Our Half-Day Sports Camps offer a variety of indoor and outdoor instructional sports camps covering 11 sports from baseball to wrestling for youth ages 7-18. These week-long half-day camps provide three hours of daily instruction. Full-Day All-Sports Camps provide seven hours of instruction in a variety of sports throughout the week-long session.
All activities are supervised by our trained camp staff and volunteers. Many camps offer extended care options for your convenience. Half-Day camps provide a nutritious breakfast and lunch as a part of the camp fee.
We work year-round to ensure your child has the summer of a lifetime. Explore all of our camps, and register online at nccde.org/camps. Limited financial aid is available on a first-come first-served basis. Call 302-395-5632 for more information.
