History in the making. Reports from the Queen down to the Wilmington Riverfront and way down south to Harrington, some of the 2016 Democratic and Republican presidential candidates made their mark on Delaware.
It’s your Constitutional right to vote, so go out there and (metaphorically) pull that lever in the Delaware Presidential Primary!
“Nobody will ever deprive the American people of the right to vote except the American people themselves and the only way they could do this is by not voting.” — Franklin D. Roosevelt, 32nd President
1) First, make sure you’re registered to vote. You can use the new “My Polling Place” portal set up by the Department of Elections in Delaware to check your status.
“The vote is the most powerful instrument ever devised by man for breaking down injustice and destroying the terrible walls which imprison men because they are different from other men.” — Lyndon B. Johnson, 36th President
“Always vote for principle, though you may vote alone, and you may cherish the sweetest reflection that your vote is never lost.” — John Quincy Adams, 6th President
3) Be ye Democrat or Republican, your party has a choice of Presidential Primary candidates from which to choose. See those currently on the Delaware primary ballot here. Pick one and vote!
“The future of this republic is in the hands of the American voter.” — Dwight D. Eisenhower, 34th President
That’s it. Simple and effective. You’ve fulfilled your civic duty!
