Nicole Royer, Delaware-based Abstract Action Painter, has launched a new series of paintings which will be inspired by the journey of her first pregnancy and the joys, trials & tribulations of raising a newborn. Alongside her own emotional-inspired paintings, she is asking for others’ support as well as their personal stories so she can create custom paintings from their experiences. She hopes to fund the entire project through a Kickstarter campaign, which she hopes will also provide the content for original custom works to be created as gifts to backers.
The final completed series of all paintings and backers’ stories will be printed in a hardcover book (one of the Kickstarter project’s many backer awards). This new series will complement her previous series about infertility. She is currently in the last month of her pregnancy and will paint about her entire experience in the summer of 2013. She will continue to paint on the subject of raising her newborn, while also working on paintings supplied by her campaign backers’ stories. Nicole’s goal is to be able to bond with her newborn while painting once-in-a-lifetime memories. The best part of her series is that she wants to give other mothers a forum to share their stories and journeys in the end form of original artwork and a printed book. The series subject matter will include adoption, parenting, carrying a baby for another person, a day in the life of a newborn, and more.
If you, or someone you know, would like to share your story and be part of a unique original art series, you can do so by supporting her series through Kickstarter and Nicole Royer Art. Use an inspiring story to create a precious memory for yourself or surprise a loved one.
Kickstarter is the world’s largest funding platform for creative projects. Backing a project is more than just giving someone money. It is supporting their dream to create something they want to see exist in the world.
As an Abstract Action Painter, Nicole uses passionate movement to express her work in vibrant colors across large canvases. She is based in Delaware and has been an active artist for the past 10 years. She is originally from Lock Haven, Pennsylvania.
