City Theater Company to Present James Joyce's THE DEAD, 12/5-20City Theater Company Presents James Joyce’s The DEAD 

The scene is set at Misses Morkans’ annual holiday party for an evening of rousing songs, poignant ballads, saucy jokes, ceili dancing, and plenty of pints. Producing Artistic Director Michael Gray transports the players out of  Victorian times and into a modern-day Dublin. Set designers Vicki Neal and Richard Kendrick are creating a typical Irish pub out of the Black Box at OperaDelaware. Spirit of ChristmasSpirit of Christmas & A Dickens Experience

The historic town of New Castle, Delaware looks forward to welcoming visitors on Saturday, December 13, for a town-wide holiday celebration featuring two free special events: The 14th annual celebration of the Spirit of Christmas is sponsored by the New Castle Presbyterian Church and the New Castle Visitors Bureau, and includes tours of historic homes and gardens decorated for the season, events at the New Castle Court House (part of the First State National Monument) and musical performances throughout the town. An all-day sale of handmade crafts, jewelry, notecards, used books, breads and soups will take place at the church, making it easy to gather last-minute Christmas gifts.
