On Wednesday, April 22nd, let’s give them something to talk about! Let us celebrate the hard-working, multi-tasking, adminstrative leaders. Here are a few fun and unique ideas to recognize and show your sincere appreciation to the Administrative Professionals in your work world. You don’t need to spend a lot, it’s the thought that always counts. Hip, Hip, Hooray – It’s Admin Professional’s Day!

 1. Just Say “Thank You” admin-professionals-day

Clear and simple. How about a thoughtful and genuine hand written “Thank You” note – old school, right? Maybe but who doesn’t love a hand written thank you in this digital age? Have doctors style handwriting…ok well then send an e-card at least to show how much you appreciate. How about a cheer?

2. Lunch Treat, Out of the Officeout-to-lunch

Out to Lunch. What a great out-of-office message to receive on this special recognition day. Grab a few co-workers and exit with your Admin OUT of the building.  Heck, how about Out to Happy Hour also? Check our 2014 Happening List for Best Lunch and Happy Hour options.

3. Give A Java Breakcoffee

Java is an easy to please favorite. Grab a coffee gift card in any denomination and give with ease. Check our 2014 Happening List for the Best Coffee venues.

4. Flower Me Special

Old faithful never disapoints. How about a fresh spring flower arrangement or a plant to display. Order it up! Don’t delay. We’ve got you covered there too – Most Happening Florist.

5. Sweet Rewardscupcake

Think sweet – fruit perhaps – edible fruit arrangement or simply consider filling a candy jar with bright, fun LOCAL candies for the entire office to share. Even easter candy is 75% off by now at most convenience stores, if you’re fighting with time and/or a budget.  Maybe a scrumptious cupcake, frozen treat or specialty cake.

6. Take a Breakspa day

SPA rewards are always refreshing and welcome. Massage, manicure, pedicure – there are many options to consider without breaking the bank. Need recommendations? No sweat – Check our 2015 Happening List Winners for Day Spa, Massage, Mani/Pedi.

7. Job SwapYoung woman looking over cubicle wall, close-up

Have you ever considered the idea? Like CBS’s Undercover Boss – take the challenge and see how you hold up against the administrative confines. Investigate how your firm really works and to identify how and what can be improved, as well as to reward hard-working employees. Why not give your assistant a half day off. Please report back on that experience [email protected]. Inquiring minds want to know how that worked out for you.

8. Red Carpet AwardGold Trophy - Oscar

Roll out the Red Carpet. Be unique. Brainstorm with the team. Get creative! Schedule a meeting or two. Create a custom award “Best Admin”,”Most Happening Assistant”, “MVP” – you know the drill – think sports or fashion. It works regardless of the industry!  A faux Oscar award, photo magazine cover, Top 10 List, an enthusiastic Cheer or Pep Rally, Think “Fun” Award. Go ahead… knock their socks off as though they were your CEO.

 Most importantly and above all,

Simply say “Thank You”!
